Abstract

An improved condition for the dynamic stability of the wheeled vehicle was obtained, taking into account the effect of the suspension and the "tire-ground" system. The criterion for the critical speed of articulated wheeled vehicles movement when they hit an obstacle is proposed. On the example of the articulated wheeled tractor with a nominal pulling force of 30 kN, the critical speeds of rectilinear motion of each section were calculated for unlocked and locked horizontal hinges with roads with different angle of inclination during an encroachment on a single obstacle in height of 0.3 m. As a result of calculations it was established that the front section of the tractor has the smallest margin of stability. In this case, the second section is stable throughout the range of calculated operating speeds. It has also been established that the locking of the horizontal hinge can increase the dynamic stability of the articulated wheeled tractor with a nominal pulling force of 30 kN not less than 7%. Their using makes it possible to evaluate, predict and eliminate failures in the work of machines in the form of tipping, thereby increasing the likelihood of agricultural work on slopes. The proposed ways to improve the position stability can be implemented by installing a system with accelerators and an electronic fuel injection control unit. The results of the research can be used in the operation of wheeled vehicles when performing agricultural operations.
