Abstract
The value of power that is spent on pumping strokes in a disconnected cylinder is obtained and it is determined that when z-i cylinders are disconnected and the engine controls remain unchanged, the indicated pressure with the cylinders off will be equal to z/i from the standard pressure of the automobile and tractor engine. Indicated engine power when the fuel supply of one cylinder with the mechanisms connected to it is turned off. The work on moving parts of disconnected cylinders during double suction and injection of a gas mixture has been determined.
