Improving the reliability and durability of screw conveyors by controlling the gap between the screw and the housing
Abstract
The main factor that negatively affects the efficiency of the screw conveyor is to increase the gap between the housing and the screw due to intensive wear of the latter. Improving resource helical working elements can be achieved with constructive methods of stabilization gap in rational limits. It proposed more reliable and durable in comparison to serial, the experimental design of the screw conveyor, which allows the amount of clearance between the screw and the housing, reducing wear at its turns. The results of studies of the dynamics of wear screw conveyors pilot and series. Adjustable gap reduced the value of its initial two millimeters, thus extending the zone of possible deterioration of turns. It is advisable when the gap permissible value seven millimeters, hold an intermediate conveyor control, corresponds to an operating time of ten thousand tons. This operation is repeated as many times as allowed by the working body design. At the regulation band pilot wear to limit the gap in thirty millimeters, which corresponds to an operating time of more than forty-five thousand tons.
