The research of the local structural inhomogeneity within the grey cast-iron via optical-mathematical method
Abstract
The estimation of local inhomogeneity degree in different phases of the grey ferritic-pearlitic cast-iron formed in the result of crystallization and plastic deformation is evaluated using the optical-mathematical method for analysis of metallographic images. The research has been carried out via revealing and analyzing of the changes of dislocational structure, determining its density with evaluation of phase dispersity value. The change of the energy parameters such as energy dissipation function and stress have been taken into account. Usage of these parameters lets one to reveal dislocations, to study changes of such structure and to estimate its density with a good enough precision. Our approach lacks the main drawbacks of the existing methods for studying the dislocation structures and can be suggested for revealing and estimation of its variability.
